Since its creation in 1976, Rétromobile has always been committed to enabling enthusiasts from all walks of life to live out their love of beautiful cars to the full. With this in mind, the world's most beautiful short-lived garage is joining forces with the Make-A-Wish® France association in 2025 to offer sick children an enchanting interlude that will make their dreams come true. Fully committed to its mission, and supported by the association, the Rétromobile show and its teams have imagined and designed the dream of two children: Valentino and Diego. Diego, a car enthusiast and thrill-seeker, was given the opportunity to take a first drive in a rally car alongside Sébastien Ogier, multiple world champion in his Toyota Gazoo Racing and ambassador for the charity.
For Valentino, it was the Rétromobile team itself that spent a day creating, imagining and financing his dream of nature and a weekend in the trees with his family during a team-building ‘Make-A-Wish Challenge’.
This partnership will have a number of highlights during the show, including the presentation of a cheque to the association, the organisation of a fund-raising event, the hosting of children and the auctioning of Automobilia in aid of the association.
Make a Wish, a committed community player
Founded in 1980 in the United States in response to the wish of a sick child to become a policeman for a day, Make-A-Wish has rapidly grown into a worldwide movement capable of transforming thousands of lives. In total, more than 585,000 wishes have been granted since the association was founded. More than just simple gifts, each wish represents the unique expression of a child and results in an unforgettable moment for the families concerned.
