European Heritage Days

The world of vintage cars brings together countless clubs and enthusiasts who keep the passion for vintage vehicles alive every day. To promote their activities and work towards preserving the rolling heritage, the Fédération Française des Véhicules d'Epoque (FFVE) is offering you an interactive map for the European Heritage Days, listing a large number of events and activities linked to vintage vehicles. Vintage car rides, military vehicle exhibitions, elegance contests… these are just some of the possibilities awaiting you at the 260 events taking place this weekend!

Organiser: Musée de la vie d’autrefois

Location: Les Ormes-sur-Voulzie (77)

The Musée de la vie d'autrefois will open its doors to let you discover the life of the French people from 1800 and 1950. Along the way, you'll have the chance to admire several vintage vehicles: horse-drawn carriages, motorized vehicles, WWII Jeeps, tractors...

 

Organiser: Auto-Retro Pornic

Location: Pornic (44)

Auto-Rétro Pornic, in collaboration with the Château de Pornic, will showcase its vehicles to the public in the parking lot and inside the castle, transforming it into a large and superb automobile memorial. To mark the occasion, there will also be rides around town.

 

Organiser: Musée bourguignon pour la préservation des véhicules militaires

Location: Dijon (21)

For military vehicle enthuasists, visit the Fort de la Motte Giron to enjoy a free exhibition of vehicles from the 1920s to the 1950s.

 

Organiser: RETROCHAP

Location: La Chapelle-Saint-Mesmin (45)

The Salon des métiers de la restauration des véhicules anciens, organized by the RETROCHAP club, welcomes you for a second edition. You will discover vehicles from all eras, as well as professionals from a wide range of fields (mechanics, bodywork, upholstery, etc.), and a large exchange and sales fair for second-hand car and motorcycle parts.

On Sunday, September 22, head to Corsica to enjoy a day at the Château de Quenza. On site, an exhibition of vehicles of all types, an elegance contest, and a local painter exhibiting his paintings!

 

Organiser: Musée national de l’automobile – Collection Schlumpf

Location: Mulhouse (68)

Located in Mulhouse, the Musée National de l'Automobile is renowned for housing the world's most impressive automobile collection. With over 450 exceptional cars, the museum offers a captivating immersion through the evolution of automotive history. The adventure began in 1957, when the Schlumpf brothers acquired a former spinning mill. A few years later, this space was transformed into a magical place where automotive passion comes to life.

 

Organiser: Ecomusée de l’Avesnois

Location: Fourmies (59)

On September 21, 2024, don't miss a day dedicated to the automobile brand Paul Génestin, a car manufacturer from Fourmies in the 1920s.. From 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm, three vehicles from his collection will be on display alongside other vintage vehicles. At 5:30 p.m., you can even enjoy the parade of a Génestin vehicle through the town center.

Spread over two modern 3,000 m² industrial buildings, 200 classic vehicles will be presented: Jaguar, Austin Healey, Porsche, Ferrari, and many more. It is also a unique opportunity to visit the specialized mechanical and bodywork workshops, open to the public for the European Heritage Days.

Location: Castersarrasin (82)

For this heritage-focused weekend, the CAVE 82 club invites you to take part in a guided tour in vintage car through the historic town center of Castersarrasin. Take this opportunity to also discover the sports vehicles of the displayed collection.

 

Organiser: Musée des 24 Heures du Mans

Location: Le Mans (72)

From the race's genesis in 1906 to the present day, discover the history of the 24 Heures du Mans through a permanent exhibition of over 70 vintage vehicles. Iconic vehicles, human epics stories, archival images: a chronological trail to follow to live or relive the powerful stories of men and machines who have contributed to the success of this international event.

 

Organiser: US Cagnes véhicules d’époque et de collection

Location: Cagnes-sur-Mer (06)

On Sunday September 22, as part of the European Heritage Days, the Musée Auguste Renoir will be the setting for an exhibition of vintage vehicles, dating from the 1940s to the 1970s, and will host the scene of an “impressionist picnic” paying tribute to the artist and his era.
