The Musée des Blindés de Saumur
Located in the Maine-et-Loire region, the Musée des Blindés de Saumur houses almost 800 military vehicles. A veritable reference for history and mechanics enthusiasts, the museum tells the story of armored vehicles from the First World War to the present day and stands out for its expertise in restoration. At the 2025 edition of Rétromobile, the Musée des Blindés de Saumur will be presenting 2 historic vehicles: the AMX PAC 10 CHAR, visible in a dynamic demonstration, and the Stuart M3 tank.

Although its name suggests a British origin, the Stuart is an American light tank that made history during the battles of El Alamein (Egypt), in June and October 1942. Despite its vulnerability to Rommel's German armor, it distinguished itself by its efficiency and ability to give enemy infantry no rest. During its career, it was deployed several times in Europe, the Balkans and the Pacific.

Mulhouse National Automobile Museum
Housed in the heart of a former woolen mill acquired by the Schlumpf brothers, Mulhouse's Musée National de l'Automobile is home to a major collection of over 400 vehicles. Considered to be one of the most important museums dedicated to the automobile, the site, also known as the “Cité de l'Automobile”, is a unique venue for all enthusiasts of exceptional mechanical engineering. At the 49th edition of Rétromobile, the Musée National de l'Automobile de Mulhouse will be showcasing a piece of French mechanical history through the presentation of a Bugatti Type 46.
Bugatti Type 46: the birth of a legend
Although little known to the general public before 1929, the Bugatti coachbuilding workshop caused a sensation at the Paris Motor Show with the unveiling of the Type 46. Produced in only 13 examples between 1930 and 1931, the Bugatti Type 46 has lived many lives! The model presented by the Cité de l'Automobile, the last of the 5L berlines, is perhaps the best example: transformed into an ambulance during the war, the vehicle later became the personal car of a certain Etorre Bugatti...

The Musée des 24 Heures du Mans
The Musée des 24 Heures du Mans is a veritable temple to motor racing, celebrating the history and legend of one of the most emblematic competitions in motor sport. Located close to the famous circuit, it houses an exceptional collection of over 120 vehicles. A long-standing partner of the Rétromobile show, the Musée des 24 Heures du Mans will also be attending this year, and will be presenting the Citroën Kégresse P17 as part of the eponymous thematic exhibition.
Citroën Kégresse P17: good wishes from Asia
The sole survivor of the yellow cruise that ran from April 04, 1931 to February 12, 1932, connecting Beirut to Peking in 315 days, this Kégresse P17 is a Citroën autochenille with Kégresse propulsion. Released in 1928 as the P10, production switched to the P17 two years later. Sold on the civilian market, P17s were also used by the French Army as artillery tractors.

A veritable showcase for the history and heritage of Saint-Jean-d'Angély, the Musée des Cordeliers invites you to discover its exceptional collection relating to Citroën's expeditions to Africa and Asia (1922-1932). For Rétromobile 2025 and the exhibition dedicated to Adolphe Kégresse, the museum will be exhibiting one of the 5 existing models of the Citroën 10HP model K1 autochenille, as well as a Purrey steam truck on its stand.
Autochenille Citroën 10HP modèle K1: a life of adventure
An icon of exploration, the Citroën 10HP model K1 autochenille was the first car to cross the Sahara in December 1922. Alongside four other vehicles, the “Croissant d'Argent” covered the 3,200 kilometers between Touggourt and Timbuktu, under the command of George-Marie Haardt and Louis Audouin-Dubreuil, in just 21 days. Now a hundred years old and revealed in its original condition, it leaves the Musée des Cordeliers for the first time to meet visitors at Retromobile, where it will be reunited with its adventure companion the “Scarabée d'Or” for a historic reunion after more than a century apart.
