MG, a monument to British automotive history
From the avant-garde MG Type M to the world speed records set by the MG EX 181 and the successive integration of the make among the largest global automotive groups, the octagon-logo brand has left its mark in history and continues to shine bright in the collector car world.
The holder of many international records accomplished in prestigious races such as the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the Tourist Trophy, the Monte-Carlo rally or on the Linas-Montlhéry autodrome, MG rose to worldwide fame in motorsport by the middle of the 20th century.
Through an unprecedented display of a dozen vehicles, organised in partnership with MG Club de France and the British Motor Museum, visitors will be able to discover a few unique models from the museum and its reserves, including the 1925 Old MG Number One and the 1938 MG EX135. To pay tribute to the 2024 Rétromobile poster, the 1957 MG EX181 driven at the time by Stirling Moss and Phil Hill will also be on show in the central exhibit of the show, under the glass roof of pavilion 1.
Finally, the manufacturer MG, now owned by the SAIC group, will be present at the show to celebrate the centenary with a retrospective on its stand dedicated to the make’s roadsters.
